Real estate market in Spain bouncing back 
Real Estate market in Spain is beginning to bounce back from the effects of 2020. 
Several data points suggest that Spain is beginning to bounce back after the devastating effects of the coronavirus crisis. Statistics show that between January and March property sales increased by 1.5 percent. We at Hagi Estates are glad to see this improvement and we believe that now is the right time to invest in a property, before prices rises. We are also getting many signals that a lot of clients are determined to travel to Spain as soon as possible to find their paradise. Hagi is hoping that you can travel soon so we can welcome you to the lovely area of the Costa del Sol.

Transfer Tax reduced to a 7% in Andalucía 
We would like to share some excellent news for future property buyers in Marbella! The Andalusian government has announced measures to stimulate and reactivate the property market in our beautiful sunny region by reducing the property transfer tax (ITP).
At present the three rates were set at 8%, 9% and 10% and it will now be replaced by a flat rate of 7%. In addition, there will also be a small reduction in Stamp Duty Tax from 1.5% to 1.2%. The costs associated with paying these taxes on the purchase of a second-hand property will be significantly reduced. This new reduction will be available only until 31st December 2021 and only in Andalucía.
Yes, as it sounds, now is a good moment to buy a property on the Costa del Sol.
Corona update 
The infection rate on Costa del Sol has gone down again, it is now quite steady around 68 to 150 infected people per 100 000 the last 14 days.
The vaccination is moving nicely on and speed has picked up, and as of now 25 745 178

people (55,1%) have already been vaccinated here in Spain. So we are optimistic regarding the summer of 2021. 
Daily life is good. Restaurants and shops are open, we play padel, tennis and golf, and you can enjoy the sun and a drink on the beach. However, there are mask requirements, and you have to disinfect your hands before entering the shops, dispensers are at the entrance everywhere. You can take off your mask when sitting down in a restaurant, but the waiters always use masks. 
The fact that the pandemic is taken seriously here and there are strict rules that are followed makes it feel safe.
Mijas - One of the jewels of the Costa del Sol 
The municipal district of Mijas consists of several very different areas:
Mijas Pueblo, an Andalucian white village a few km inland, up on the hill side.
Mijas Costa, a 12 kilometre stretch a long the coast.
La Cala de Mijas, a separate village and small resort by the sea to the west.
Riviera del Sol, urbanization between La Cala and Calahonda.
Calahonda, a popular urbanization at the far west end of Mijas.
Las Lagunas, a modern commercial area with some local industry. Located right behind Fuengirola.
Other well known areas are Miraflores, El Chaparral and El Faro.
